The Vineyard is comprised of modern wine tasting and cellar door facilities surrounded by citrus and olive groves. There is also an extensive and varied fruit orchard, and 8 acres of grapes which produce over 20 tonnes of grapes annually.
The proximity to the coast produces a maritime climate resulting in wines which are soft and rich in flavour.
These wines can be found in restaurants, cafes and bottle shops up and down the Shoalhaven.
Already, many of the wines we produce have won awards, and as the vines age, they will no doubt produce even better wines.
Our philosophy is to continue to make the best wine possible and to provide the community with access to holiday programmes of music and food in tranquil and picturesque surrounds.
We have always had a love of wine, and a belief that the property at Bawley Point provides the hours of sunshine, north facing slopes and the soil essential to produce wonderful grapes... and to make excellent wine.
Our Winemaker, Michelle Crockett has been in the industry for over 10 years and is a graduate of Charles Sturt University with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Wine Science). She has worked in the Southern Highlands and South Coast Regions of NSW, making award winning wines in both places.
Michelle has also done vintage at Piedmonte and as a result, brings to our wines a great deal of experience and competence as a wine maker. In this effort she is ably assisted by the team at Crooked River Winery.
‘A month of Sundays’ theme for our live music in the vines, holiday entertainment and that has been a great success. We will continue with the same theme for the coming season. We are pleased to have been able to secure bands such as The Badboys, Karisma Katz, Josh Rawiri and Pigeon House Jazz band to provide a varied repertoire of quality entertainment for the local community and visitors to the Estate and the area.
